The Christmas Countdown is on and you’ll find lots of festive cheer in Wimbledon. Whether your sights are set on artisan markets, the theatre, or family fun, we have a roundup of the season’s sensational events in Wimbledon Town Centre.

Wimbledon Christmas Market

From local artisans to international delights, the Wimbledon Christmas Market is truly a global affair.

Wrap up warm and enjoy ’12 days of Christmas’ with 12 markets days across five weekends throughout the festive period. The market is a great place to pick up unique gifts with original art, homewares, clothing and accessories plus festive treats, including a wonderful variety of Christmas cakes, bakes and of course mince pies to enjoy.

With up to 50 stalls at each market and different traders each weekend, no two market days are the same.

Weekends 23 November – 22 December
11am – 6pm
Plus Fridays, 13 December & 20 December
11am – 7pm

Wimbledon Winter Wonderland

A whole day filled with festive fun for all the family to enjoy.

Wimbledon Winter Wonderland returns on the first Sunday of December. Watch the Broadway transform into a Christmas wonderland, full of winter festivities to indulge in. Enjoy brass bands and singing choirs, laugh with dancing penguins and roller skating Christmas puddings whilst feasting on roasted chestnuts.

Popular favourites such as the ice sculpture show and the snow globe photobooth will return as well as our food tent – the perfect place to sip hot chocolate after enjoying the children’s rides that are on offer.

Don’t miss the spectacular firework display, courtesy of Centre Court Shopping Centre, at 5.30pm and enjoy seeing the event lit up at dark.

The Magic of Wimbledon Theatres

Christmas magic is aplenty at Wimbledon’s renowned theatres. With lots of exciting shows to choose from this winter, there’s something for all the family to enjoy. Don’t forget, Polka Theatre will be reopening in 2020 with exciting new theatre spaces.

Cinderella Pantomime at New Wimbledon Theatre

Christmas means panto time! Packed with all the traditional pantomime ingredients, Cinderella features laugh-out-loud comedy, stunning scenery, beautiful costumes and plenty of boos and hisses. You shall go to the ball this Christmas!

Santa Claus and the Night Before Christmas at Merton Arts Space

A magical Christmas experience with songs, stories, a meet and greet with Santa, and a free gift! Little ones will be enchanted by this unforgettable experience, especially the magical moment when snowflakes fall over the audience!
12 – 24 December

The Last Noel at Merton Arts Space

Attic Theatre Company and Arts at the Old Fire Station present ‘The Last Noel’, a funny and uplifting play with live music and original songs by award-winning writer Chris Bush about family, ritual and what matters most at Christmas.
