Eleanor Lawrence invites you to support the Wimbledon Guild by visiting Wimbledon Village Fair
The Wimbledon Village Fair is not just a great day out on beautiful Wimbledon Common – it’s also a great way to support the Wimbledon Guild. We are a local charity and we help people of all ages across the local community in all sorts of practical ways. This year, with cutbacks in funding and increasing demand for our services, we are aiming to raise as much money as possible on the day.
The All-England Club is our main sponsor and we are grateful, too, to so many other local businesses that sponsor us and advertise in our programme. You can find the whole list of sponsors at www.

This year we have some fantastic new attractions and acts, including Walking on Water with zorb balls; Wimbledon Bookfest with author signings; the Babyballet Song and Dance Academy; Pied Piper Music and a Surf simulator.
Don’t forget the Horse Show from 9am, the Fun Dog Show throughout the day and over 200 craft and produce stalls packed with an enormous range of fun and fascinating things to buy. The Food Village, with its live entertainment, will also be open all day too.
Come and have fun at the Fair and help us raise as much money as possible to support local people. This will help us to continue to provide the same level of services. Last year, we were able to provide 21,700 hours of volunteering time; £19,000 of small cash grants to people who needed emergency help; 5,000 counselling sessions; 3,000 lunches at our lunch club; 1,600 befriending visits to older people in Merton; and 500 items of quality second-hand furniture to needy homes.
