7+ Assessment

This assessment takes place towards the end of November preceding the year of entry, ie, when a boy is in Year 2.

Once registered, parents will be contacted at the start of the autumn term and asked to confirm their son’s attendance at the assessment, by completing an online form and paying a £100 assessment fee. School reports are requested at this time from parents and permission is sought to contact the current school for a Head’s report.

During their time with us, boys will undertake a range of Maths and English based assessments in small groups and staff will spend time getting to know the boys. Boys will need to demonstrate they have the potential to thrive at Shrewsbury House, to obtain an offer of a definite place.
