Time & Leisure, Thursday 24 March 2016
Welcome to Time & Leisure’s annual celebration of the finest local and independent eating and drinking establishments and suppliers.
Now in their sixth year, the Time & Leisure Food & Drinks Awards (FADAs) are firmly established as one of the most important annual events for the food and drink industry in south London and North Surrey - as voted for by you the readers and diners! Last year more than 9,200 votes were cast across 15 categories for 635 businesses from Clapham to Wandsworth and Fulham to Wimbledon and Teddington to Kingston.
Over the next few months, restaurants, bars, cafés, delis, producers and suppliers of all shapes and sizes will enter themselves or be nominated in the 15 categories for your votes. For 2016 we have a brand new award for Best Food & Drink Producer so expect to see a range of entries including bakeries, breweries and even London made honey.
The awards celebrate the high quality and diversity of our local restaurants, pubs, cafés and retailers and are all ‘people’s choice’ awards, which ensure the winners are chosen independently by you. So if you want to celebrate, support or thank your favourite place, do so by voting and help them make the winners’ list.
How to vote
Below are all the categories in the 2016 Food & Drink Awards. Every person receives one vote for each category and you can vote in as many categories as you like.
The voting is completed and entirely done by the readers so your vote matters. Show support for your favourite local and independent restaurants, café, bars, pubs and retailers and bring them to the attention of a wider audience in the local areas.
Voting is now open, and will close at midnight on Sunday 24 July when we will count the votes, and reveal a shortlist for each category in the run up to the Awards Ceremony which takes place in September.
Supporters of the Food & Drink Awards include: Marcus Wareing, Eric Lanlard, Anton Mosimann, Antonio Carluccio, Malcolm John, Tony Allan, Adam Byatt, Amanda Ross, Bruce Poole, Al Crisci, Michael Underwood, Angellica Bell, Michael Denton, Adrian Mills.
